Foundation Unveils Memorial Wall at FWC

Tallahassee, FL (April 6 2016) – The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida today unveiled a new memorial wall of honor for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Chairman Rodney Barreto said, “This is a very special project for us. It is near and dear to our hearts. Our board worked rigorously to bring this effort to fruition and we are so proud it unveil it today as part of our mission working with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).”

Barreto continued, “the men and women of law enforcement work tirelessly in difficult and sometimes dangerous situations. And it is in that spirit of service, that we created this memorial wall to honor all the conservation officers and dedicated biologists who have lost their lives in the line of duty.”

The wall is located in the lobby of the FWC main building in Tallahassee. It lists all officers and biologists who have lost their lives serving the agency since 1959.
