January 2025

Dear Dani,

Every January I say I want to be more generous, but by spring my good intentions fade. I donate here and there when I’m reminded, but I’d really like to do better this year. Any ideas to help me stick to this resolution?

— Hopeful Giver, Clearwater, FL

Dear Hopeful Giver,

I love this resolution and you’re not alone. A lot of folks start the year wanting to give more, but life gets busy and it falls off the to-do list. That’s why becoming a monthly recurring donor might be the perfect solution.

Setting up a monthly gift is like putting your generosity on autopilot. You choose an amount that fits your budget, and your gift keeps showing up for Florida’s wildlife each month. It’s low-maintenance for you, but high-impact for Florida’s wildlife and wild places.

Think of it as turning one good intention into 12 real actions: every month, your gift shows up to protect manatees, restore habitats, or help kids discover the outdoors. Plus, it’s easier for nonprofits like ours to plan ahead when we know we have your steady support.

It’s simple to get started. When you visit our Pick A Cause page, just select the fund you want to support and switch your donation from one-time to monthly. That’s it!

So yes, you can keep your resolution this year. Just set it and forget it and feel good knowing that 2026 is the year your giving became consistent.

All the best,

Dani
