Dear Procrastinating Planner,
First, you’re definitely not alone. Making a will is one of those things that’s easy to push to “someday.” But the truth is, having a will isn’t really about preparing for the worst. It’s about making life easier for the people you love.
A will gives your family clear guidance, helps ensure your wishes are honored, and can spare them from unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Think of it as one final act of kindness.
It’s also an opportunity to reflect on the legacy you want to leave. For some people, that means providing for children or grandchildren. For others, it means making sure the places and causes they’ve cherished throughout their lives continue to thrive.
