Celebrating 30 Years of Conservation

As we proudly mark our 30th anniversary, we invite you to join us in celebrating three decades of dedicated conservation work. Since 1994, our mission has been clear: to conserve Florida’s imperiled species, protect its delicate ecosystems, and preserve our outdoor heritage. Today, as we reflect on our journey, we’re more committed than ever to safeguarding wild Florida.

30 years ago, a small group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision — to protect Florida’s unique wildlife and habitats. What began as a citizen support organization for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has grown into Florida’s community foundation for conservation. From the river of grass in the Everglades to the lush forests of the Panhandle, we have helped ensure future generations can experience our state’s natural beauty..

As we look back on 30 years of conservation success, we’re proud to share some of our most significant impacts:

  • $100 Million Raised: Since our founding, we’ve raised and distributed nearly $100 million to protect Florida’s wildlife, habitats, and outdoor heritage.
  • Rapid Response: From hurricane relief for FWC first responders to rescuing corals from spreading disease and feeding starving manatees, our ability to act quickly during emergencies has made a critical difference for Florida’s wildlife and ecosystems.
  • Combating Invasive Species: We’ve played a key role in fighting the spread of invasive species like the Burmese python and lionfish, protecting native flora and fauna across the state.
  • Investing in Future Conservationists: Through partnerships with FWC’s Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network, we’ve supported programs that benefit over 284,000 children and teens annually, fostering a love for the outdoors in the next generation.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. While we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, we know that our work is far from over. Florida’s environment faces ongoing threats from climate change and habitat loss to pollution and invasive species. But with your support, we can continue to make a difference. Join us in shaping the next 30 years of wild Florida by making a $30 recurring monthly donation.
