Rachael Schirmer is a native Floridian with a deep-rooted love of Florida’s wildlife and unique ecosystems. She is a proud Gator with a degree in Journalism from the University of Florida and years of experience working in veterinary medicine at the UF Small Animal Hospital. She loves connecting with the public and sharing her passion for conservation, especially through the use of social media. In her spare time, you can find her on biking trails, kayaking in mangrove forests, or rehabbing orphaned wildlife.
