Director of Communications
Michelle Ashton joined the Foundation with more than 12 years of experience in communications, project management, and community engagement. Her diverse background includes work in public-private partnerships, cultural organizations, and non-profits in Louisiana and Texas where she strove to make the world a more just and beautiful place. She earned her bachelors from Louisiana State University in 2004 and her masters from Tulane University in 2006. As a Gulf Coast native, she has always felt most at home in water. She has witnessed firsthand the impact a healthy environment can have on preserving life and the role all can play in its conservation. She is excited to extend her passion to the Foundation, to call Tampa home, and to explore Florida’s world-famous outdoors.
