Foundation Seeks Applications for Two Grant Opportunities

Tallahassee, FL (July 3, 2018) – The Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida (FWFF) announced that it is accepting applications for two exciting grant opportunities through July 27: Wildlife Foundation of Florida grant and Protect Florida Springs grant.

The Wildlife Foundation of Florida grant targets projects that conserve and manage lands open to public hunting, improve access to and amenities on public hunting lands, promote gun safety programs for all ages, or attract women and minorities to hunting and shooting sports, including archery.

The Protect Florida Springs grant supports work that leads to better understanding of threats facing Florida’s springs, fosters the adoption of best practices in the restoration, management and conservation of freshwater springs, or alters public attitudes and practices detrimental to spring conservation.

FWFF President and CEO Andrew Walker said, “We are eager to partner with organizations to close their funding gaps and implement projects that will benefit our hunting communities and natural springs. Awarding these grants represents the Foundation living its mission to conserve and enhance Florida’s habitats.”

Both grants are funded by the sale of specialty license plates. Requests for up to $75,000 will be considered. Complete information and application instructions can be found here.
