Christopher Carrere

Christopher Carrere is a fifth generation Floridian and a Tampa native. His passion for the outdoors developed as a child while spending significant time on the waters between the Tampa Bay and Charlotte Harbor as well as the woods of south Florida. After graduating from University of The South, Sewanee, Christopher spent several years as a first mate and captain on private sportfishing yachts. In 2003 he joined Galati Yacht Sales where he is still employed as one of the top performing yacht brokers specializing in Viking Yachts, Princess Yachts, and Valhalla Boatworks. He is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker and a member of the International Yacht Brokers Association.

Christopher currently serves as a director and Governance Committee Chair for Lykes Bros. Inc. In 2025, he was appointed and currently serves as Commissioner to the Tampa Port Authority. He is past Chairman of the Board of The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation and remains an active Board member and Executive Committee member.

Christopher and his wife Elizabeth have three children and live in the Tampa Bay area. He’s committed to passing down his passion for the outdoors to his children and insuring they have the same opportunity to experience Florida as he did.
