Scott Bores is the President of Florida Power & Light Company (FPL), the largest electric utility in America. He previously served as President of Finance with responsibility for all the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, generation resource planning, financial analysis, and rates and tariffs at the utility. Prior to joining FPL, he spent five years at Mirant Corporation serving as the Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, with responsibility for technical accounting research and external reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working on a variety of banking and insurance clients.
He also serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Accounting and received his MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Georgia. Mr. Bores lives with his wife and four children in Jupiter.
